Lucidz Group and Oasis Ascension Join Forces to Bring Healing Through Music in a Nation Divided

Tulsa, OK – As our nation teeters on the edge, deeply divided and facing the strain of two overseas wars, with looming elections threatening to further ignite tensions, there’s one thing we need now more than ever: LOVE. Only love can mend our wounds, bridge our divides, and unite us in these uncertain times. This powerful message comes to life in the new album from Lucidz Group from their collaboration with Cherokee citizen and Oasis Ascension founder Chris Taylor. Drawing from their own experiences with homelessness, having no address and mental illness, the trio has crafted a profound musical journey that speaks to the heart of today’s struggles.

In a world dominated by conflict and chaos, Lucidz Group shine as a beacon of hope with their trilogy of songs. This isn’t just music—it’s a movement, meant to both inspire and transform.

The first track, "Shadows," boldly critiques the oversimplified solution of “just building more houses” for the homeless with no address. Through this song, listeners are plunged into the frustration and disillusionment of those on the streets, whose lives are far more complex than a single solution can address. It’s a wake-up call to look beyond the structures and see the human beings behind the statistics.

The second track, "I Can’t Breathe," takes listeners on an intense journey into the mind of someone experiencing schizophrenia, just as the police arrive. With 30 different voices shouting commands in their head over a span of 18 chaotic seconds, the song vividly captures the terrifying reality of mental illness in Tulsa. It’s raw, unfiltered, and deeply moving. But the journey doesn’t stop in the depths—it pushes through to recovery, offering hope and understanding of life’s difficult seasons.

Then, there’s the finale, "Only Love Can Do It," the ultimate answer in these divided times. Featuring the powerful rhythm of authentic Cherokee drums and the soothing rattle of traditional Daksi, the song connects us to something deeper, something universal. It calls for us, both individually and collectively, to commit to love as the only force strong enough to heal our world. In a stunning blend of English and the Cherokee language, the song is a celebration of unity, purpose, and peace.

And as a special tribute, this musical trilogy is dedicated to Phil Collins, honoring the 35th anniversary of his iconic song “Another Day in Paradise.” Now with Collins’ haunting question, “Oh Lord, is there nothing more anybody can do?” resonates as deeply today as it did then. But now, Taylor answers that call, saying, “Yes, Phil, there is! Meet Phil and Justin! We are the ones doing something, and we’re doing it with love.”

Reflecting on the project, Taylor passionately states, “We’ve seen the cracks in our society. People aren’t just lacking housing—they’re missing connection, purpose, and dignity. It’s time for a radical shift, and that shift is love. This album embodies that transformation, where these voices intertwine: the smooth, soul-stirring beauty of love and the raw, gritty rasp of pain. Together, they create a harmony that transcends music—it’s a testament to healing and the urgent need for change.”

This album is more than just songs. It’s a rallying cry for the city of Tulsa and beyond, urging us to stop focusing on surface problems and start healing from the heart. Proceeds from the album will go to Oasis Ascension, a project dedicated to providing holistic support for the homeless with no address, offering not just shelter but a space where individuals can rebuild their lives and reconnect with their humanity.

In these troubled times, Lucidz Group is proving that music can be more than sound—it can be salvation. And they’re reminding us all of one simple truth:

Only Love Can Do It.
